Bandung is well known as Parijs van Java by the Dutch resemblance to Paris and European atmosphere back to colonial times and its Art Deco Architecture since early 20th century, there is an eastern cultural influence on architectonic conception, including sundanese Roof style. That era was strongly influenced by Western design.
