4 Days Orangutan Tour

Meet and Greet on arrival in Pangkalan Bun and transfer to Kumai by car and than boating up to Tanjung Harapan. When you arrived in Tanjung Harapan, if you still have a time, you can visit information center and see feeding time at 15.00pm. Late afternoon, observing the proboscis monkey and another monkeys a long of river sides.
Overnight and Dinner on the Boat
The boat is traditional boat wooden river boat about 14 m by 2,5 m with a roof where you can see the rain forest). The guide’s team includes the boatmen, cook and good guide. On the boat, we have simple mattress, pillow, mosquito net, meals, mineral water, kitchen, toilet. Helpful guides and boatmen.

After breakfast boating up the river about 2 hours and half and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutan reintroduced into the rain forest and also known as research center for orangutan. Take trekking through tropical rain-forest searching for wildlife. Back to the boat for lunch and feeding time at 14.00pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods.

After breakfast the boating down the river to Pondok Tangguy, rehabilitation center for the new exceptive orangutans, see feeding time at 09.00am. Continuing the tour to Pesalat Reforestation area, see the process of reforestation project. Afternoon visit Tanjung Harapan rehabilitation center to witness feeding time for rehabilitation orangutan at 15.00pm. Late afternoon visiting the Village near of the national park. Boating down the river during the night, and you can see fireflies and take dinner around the fireflies at Nipah Palm (depend to the moon and weather).
