6 Days Orangutan & Dayak Village Adventure Tour

Arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport meet service and then drive to Kumai by taxi (25 minutes). Pass several villages. Upon arrival in Kumai, board on the boat and then boating up slowly to Tanjung Puting National Park to explore the Sekonyer River by klotok (traditional wooden boat) while observe the wildlife such as Proboscis Monkey (long nose monkey), Long Tail Monkey, Birds etc a long the river sides.
Dinner and sleep on the boat.

The boat is a traditional wooden river boat about 14 m by 2 m with roof upper deck where you can see the rain forest. The guide’s team includes the boatmen, cook and tourist guide. On the boat, we have simple mattress, pillow, mosquito net, meals, mineral water, kitchen and toilet.

After breakfast boating up the river about 2 hours and half and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutan reintroduced into the rain forest and also known as research center for orangutan. On the way we stop at Pondok Tanggui Camp to witness feeding orangutan at 09.00am. After feeding you can take a short trekking and going back to the boat. Then continuing our tour to Camp Leakey by boat. Lunch will be serve on the boat, after lunch visiting the feeding station at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. And than, we boating down slowly to the Nipah Palm (house of fire fliers). On the way down we still can be observe the monkeys, birds and other animals, and in the evening if good weather we can see the fireflies a long the Nipa Palm (depend to the moon and weather).
Stay on black river and overnight on the boat On Location

After early breakfast, boating down to Kumai then drop your luggage at Hotel. Then go straight to Kudangan Village by car about 5 hours. Pass several villages, palm oil plantation, rubber plantation, local communities plantation and forest. We will stop for lunch on the way. Upon arrival at Kudangan Village after 5 hours drive, our guide will take you to the long house for your accommodation. Sightseeing around the villages. After dinner they will ringing their gong or one of their music instrument to gathering together for Welcome Ceremony. Lots of people will join with you.
Long House On Location

After breakfast, we can go to the forest and trekking, here you can choice how many hours you wanna walk on the forest. And in this village, they are denied the palm oil plantation so their forest still good.If you agree we can go to the “Bukit Sebayan” or “Riam Setongah”, and here we can see the waterfall. From village to the waterfall about 5,5 hours trekking. Pass several rivers, “ladang” / traditonal plantation, traditional rubber plantation, orchad and primery forest. A long the way, you can see how the Dayak tribe survive in the jungle. And if we lucky, we can see the wild animals. Upon arrival on the waterfall we can swimming and relaxing or just enjoying the rain forest. Lunch will be serve on the forest.
Overnight on the forest with the tents On Location

After breakfast, we going back to the village. If you are interested to go to Central Kalimantan Border or going to the other waterfall before going back to Pangkalan Bun. Drive back to Pangkalan Bun by car. Lunch on the way. Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun, check in at your hotel. Free program at your own leisure.
